The Grosvenor Museum Society
The Grosvenor Museum Society was established in 1981 and helps provide vital support for the museum. Society members enjoy a full and varied programme of events, including lectures and visits.
The Society has raised over £85,000 in grant-aid for the Museum over the past 30 years. These funds have been used to help purchase more than 180 objects for the museum’s collection, including paintings, watercolours, drawings, silver, ceramics, furniture, clocks, tokens, fossils and geological specimens. They have also helped to buy extra display cases which house sensitive objects, and have funded some of the Museum’s events programmes.
